5SOS, one of the most popular and rising pop bands that was formed in Sydney in 2011 has definitely seen exponential growth from what they used to do to what they have transformed themselves into. The band that basically started out from YouTube started gaining recognition with their videos and soon enough shot to fame when they were invited by One Direction band to accompany them on their tour and act as an on-tour support band.
According to Unreality TV, the band seems to have hit sort of a major roadblock. The band’s guitarist and vocalist Michael Clifford injured himself and that poses a problem for them. 5SOS who is currently on their “Rock Out With Your Socks Out” tour performing gigs in Leeds, Newcastle and North of England might have to carry on with their tour minus their vocalist/guitarist.
Michael who sprained his ankle might have to pull out as even though the injury does not look that severe but if he were to stand continuously for long hours that might just aggravate his injury and cause him problems even further. There’s also a possibility that he will be advised by the medics to lay low for some time and give his injured ankle some relief as it will help him recover faster.
5SOS’ Michael Clifford took to Twitter recently apologising for not being able to jump around and thanking Leeds for being an amazing crowd. For his injury, it seems the medics might have advised him to apply ice on it so that his injury won’t get out of hand.
Meanwhile, it was also reported earlier that there was some ego clashes between their band and One Direction who were basically the reason for the band’s global recognition. But the 5SOS’s lead vocalist Luke Hemmings cleared any misunderstanding clearly stating that there’s no such animosity between the bands and it’s all good. Although he did mention that it was quite encouraging to see One Direction fans wearing their band’s T-shirt. He considers that one of the coolest moments.
