It looks like Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is ending his self-exile and leaving Ahch-To to join his sister general Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) in the battlefield in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. In fact, he will be on the front lines fighting his nephew and former student Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

Mentor Versus Student

There is a rift between the Skywalkers: Luke opened an academy to train younglings the ways of the Jedi Order and one of his students was Ben, son of Leia Organa and Han Solo (Harrison Ford). However, the young padawan was corrupted and later joined the First Order. So, Luke, out of guilt, flew to the Ahch-To, the location of the first Jedi Temple and hid until Rey (Daisy Ridley) found him.

In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Luke might confront Kylo for the first time on the big screen. Star Wars News Net reported that a toy-movie tie up revealed one important scene from the upcoming movie.

A German retailer has listed Star Wars: The Last Jedi LEGO set in time for Force Friday that will take place on Sep. 1 this year. One of the sets includes Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter which will include 630 pieces with miniatures of both Kylo Ren and Luke Skywalker.

Seeing that the set is a movie merchandise, it might mean that Luke and Kylo will share a screen together this December. While the plot of the upcoming movie is yet to be revealed, it does not seem like the son of Leia and Han have not had a change of heart yet and is still following the orders of Supreme Leader Snoke.

If they do meet at the battlefield, expect a lightsaber duel between the Jedi and his former student.

Other LEGO sets listed on the site includes a BB-8 set, a Resistance Bomber set which will feature Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Laura Dern’s new character Admiral Holdo, a First Order Heavy Assault Walker that will feature a different version of Poe and Rey, a First Order Star Destroyer set that comes with Supreme Leader Snoke and BB-9E (an evil BB-8) figures.

Kylo Ren Finds Luke Skywalker

The LEGO set agrees with the ongoing rumor that Kylo Ren will make his way to Ahch-To along with the Knights of Ren. Movie Web reported that Luke will find it easy to destroy the Knights of Ren, but Kylo will seek revenge against Rey. The Force-sensitive and the untrained warrior did defeat Snoke’s apprentice in a lightsaber battle in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

However, it looks like her Jedi training will be unfinished the next time she sees Kylo. The report even detailed that Rey falls off a cliff at one point and disappear. What happened to her remains to be seen.

If true, then, perhaps, after ending the Knights of Ren, Luke will come to Rey’s rescue and face off with his own nephew. Hopefully, fans will get to see a sneak peek in the movie’s next trailer. Lucasfilm and Disney are yet to announce when the second trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Movie Details

Star Wars Episode VIII will continue the on-going battle between the Light and the Dark Side of the Force. It is expected to answer some of the biggest mysteries of the new trilogy including the identity of the parents of Rey. After their defeat in the previous movie, the First Order is also expected to retaliate.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will also feature that final performance of Carrie Fisher as the beloved Leia Organa. The movie also stars John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Billie Lourd and Gwendoline Christie. It will land on the big screen on Dec. 15.
