A to Z” Season 1 Episode 7 “G is for Geronimo” aired on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. on NBC. Andrew learned something new about Zelda and then devised a plan to let her pursue her dream. Find out what happened in the recap below.

Zelda (Cristin Milioti) and Andrew (Ben Feldman) took their relationship to the next level. It was big stuff. They were going to share the contents of their iTunes to each other, and well, one can usually tell so much about the other person by knowing the type of music they love.

Zelda found out that Andrew was a huge fan of Kate Hudson, who was actually Katy Perry during her gospel music phase, and Andrew discovered that Zelda once had a song demo. She begged for him never to listen to this demo ever. It was from an embarrassing time of her life, roughly the first fifteen years when she dreamt of becoming a singer.

Zelda: But then I grew up, I got it together, and I would really appreciate it if you never mentioned it, and you never play that song again.

But it wasn’t so easy to ignore when it’s already sitting among Andrew’s iTunes list. In fact, he already heard Zelda’s song 53 times.

At work, Andrew accidentally clicked the share feature of his music library to the entire Wallflower network, which meant that they all had access to Zelda’s demo. Someone from Wallflower then shared his music library to everyone in the office park, including Zelda’s co-workers, and you know what? They all loved her voice! They’ve been singing her song!

Learning of this, Zelda now wondered if she made the wrong decision about quitting music. If the people at work loved her song, could she have had a great music career had she pursued it? What if she wasted her life being a lawyer? Turned out, Zelda did have an audition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music once before, but she didn’t proceed with it, thinking that being a lawyer was a more practical route. Zelda’s second guessing has started to affect her work, as she didn’t care about it anymore.

Andrew: But you love your job! You love all of this!

Worked up by the fact that his girlfriend was bothered by what ifs and regrets, Andrew had an idea. He got her an audition to the Penbridge Conservatory of Music. But Zelda did not like this surprise. She walked out of it, which made Andrew look like a schmuck.

Zelda confessed that the real reason why she quit pursuing music several years ago had nothing to do with being practical. The truth was she was scared of failing.

Andrew: So, this is your second chance. Think about it, you put your fears aside, just go in there, you’ll never have to ask what if again.

This didn’t convince Zelda at first, but when she saw that Andrew really believed in her, she went back to the audition with Penbridge. Whether or not this would lead to something, it made Zelda really happy that she went with it.

Meanwhile, Lydia (Christina Kirk) also received a copy of Zelda’s song and wondered why people at work have been sharing stuff with her on her social media profile. Turned out, she got drunk at the open bar event for work one night and was really nice to people that they friended her.

Harold from HR did an experiment with Lydia by giving her a drink, which she thought was Long Island iced tea. So Lydia was nice to everyone at work that day, but Harold later confessed that she was drinking regular iced tea all along. The gig was up. Lydia really had a heart of gold underneath all that mean streak. Being drunk had nothing to do with it.

Stu (Henry Zebowski) and Stephie (Lenora Crichlow) also had something to settle with each other when he learned that she can read a person like a psychic. But it turned out, Stephie knew nothing about Stu’s past or future. She was just really good at keeping track and observing things.

The episode ended with Zelda singing in front of a crowd, and they loved her. This was more than enough for her.

Zelda: When I walked towards that audition, I was so nervous. But then I realized that it doesn’t matter what happens because I have a great life. If I had done anything differently, I wouldn’t have my great job and friends. And I wouldn’t have you.
