One of the biggest frustrations in a concert is if the equipment isn’t working. So when Adam Levine’s microphone started acting up right in the middle of a concert, he throws it away in frustration. Except, he accidentally had it bouncing right smack on a fan’s forehead. Read on for more details.
According to HollywoodLife.com, Levine and the other members of Maroon 5 were having a concert in Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Mar. 16, 2015. In what may seem to be a case of bad luck, they had an equipment malfunction, and Levine’s microphone stopped working. Being the frustrated singer who has already gone all out to greet the adoring crowd, Levine actually threw the microphone down to the stage.
But as luck would have had it, as shown in a video TMZ got, the said microphone bounced right off the stage floor and landed right on a female fan’s forehead. Levine quickly walked towards her and checked if she’s okay. He then surprised the said fan as he pulled her right up on stage to announce his apology in front of the audience.
“In my flustered state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the ground into poor, sweet [the fan] Stephanie’s face,” Levine said in a statement posted on HollywoodLife.com. “… I feel so utterly terrible that I had perhaps wounded this young fan so I brought her onstage, ran a little distraction so we could get our s–t together.”
He ended it with asking everyone to pretend it didn’t happen.
The rest of the crowd may pretend it didn’t happen, but the microphone-hit fan certainly wouldn’t! The said female fan, whose full name was revealed to be Stephanie Green, was asked by CityNews Toronto of her experience. She revealed that she and her sister, who was with her that night, have been waiting for the said concert for months and worked it all out just to get front row seats. But despite the bump on her forehead, Green was still ecstatic about her close encounter with Levine.
No doubt, she, like any fan of Maroon 5, will be looking forward to another concert in their area, minus the bouncing microphone.
