Debut on-screen actor Adam Levine released the main soundtrack, entitled “Lost Stars,” of the retitled musical, “Begin Again,” on July 1, 2014, in lieu of the whole movie album. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
The Westein Company seems to be starting an early bid for the Oscar nomination for Best Song as they released the full version of “Lost Stars” performed by Adam Levine. The song was penned by Greg Alexander, dedicated solely for the movie, which was opened to over 45 markets just recently.
In the form of lyrical highlighting, the video contained excerpts and montages of the film that is centered on the main cast Adam Levine, Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo. However, it is undeniable that the performer of the song holds the spotlight as he plays the musician who makes it big on the film.
According to BuzzSugar, Levine’s role in the film isn’t much of a stretch as it is closely related to the current standpoint of his career. Nonetheless, it seems that the mere fact that his face would be plastered on screen is more than enough to get his avid fans running to the theaters to extend their support.
Despite having such circumnavigated critiques, the video alone fervently depicted a soulful and sexy Adam Levine, which indicated the meekness of his acting skills. In the feature from Variety, the sensational singer admitted that he never took any acting classes. He was only acting naturally, portraying the role in the most innate way possible. He even said that it was very Meta.
The singer turned actor was offered to star in lots of films before, but he has respectably declined most of them because he didn’t feel a connection with the roles. However, John Carney changed his perception.
“John Carney made me want to do it. I was a huge fan of what John had done with ‘Once’,” explained Levine in the interview with Variety.
Looking at John Carney’s track record with his success in the movie “Once,” winner of the Best Song in the Academy Awards for “Falling Slowly,” it is without a doubt that a bon-a-fide musician like Adam Levine would have a change of heart once he’s tendered by the award-winning composer.
A musical film with a highly popular singer and two iconic Hollywood stars as protagonists, “Begin Again” surely carries a strong reputation to behold on the silver screen. Check for the corresponding release dates HERE.
