Everybody worth knowing will be heading to Birmingham this December for the second annual BBC Music Awards. The nominees have been announced and BBC is gearing up for a mega show which will be hosted by stars like Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton. Read On!

The nominees for the BBC Music Awards 2015 have already been announced and Adele is a hot favorite to win in the important categories. She has been nominated for Artist of the Year and Live Performance of the Year categories.

Will she win both? It is impossible to tell at this point because Florence + The Machine and Ed Sheeran are also nominated for the Artist of the Year category. We do not think that the other three acts, Jamie XX, Foals, and Years and Years, stand a chance against Adele or Florence + The Machine, but they might emerge as the victor like a dark horse if luck bides well with them.

Adele has also been nominated for the Live Performance of the Year category. She will face the likes of Lionel Ritchie and Jeff Lynn in this category.

Taylor Swift is a hot favorite in the International Artist of the Year category. She will have to take on other big acts like the Foo Fighters and Prince. What is strange in this year’s nominations is that the old acts like the Foo Fighters, Lionel Ritchie, and Prince are taking on newer acts like Taylor Swift and Adele. It is as if the old ones just refuse to die.

The BBC Music Awards 2014 had honored Ed Sheeran as the British Artist of the Year. We wonder if Sheeran will win the title again. It is more likely that Adele will usurp his throne this time.
