Will pop soul crooner Adele make an appearance before the year 2016 ends? The 27-year-old Londoner has persisted on keeping silent regarding her follow-up on her 2011 pop oeuvre 21.
In a report from Billboard, the long wait will soon be over as her third effort will be released via her home label XL Recordings in November 2015.
The upcoming album is believed to be entitled 25 which is said to continue the pattern of signifying her age akin to her two earlier efforts which were entitled 21 and 19. 21 solidified the career of Adele as it won her an Album of the Year Grammy while selling more than 30 million units worldwide. The said sophomore effort also was the leading album seller for two consecutive years, 2011 and 2012.
Despite the hush-hush approach in the brewing of the said album, British musician ED Sheeran revealed via Capital FM that, “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good.”
That “everyone I know” would probably mean the team that Adele has surrounded her with, a team that includes music producer Brian Burton aka Dangermouse and Swedish music producer Max Martin. Other collaborators on the Adele wagon are Ryan Tedder (One Republic) and Canada’s Tobias Jesso Jr. Surprisingly, most of the above mentioned collaborators though have remained silent on any progress of the recent project. A hush treatment which has only kept Adele’s fans more eager.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Adele’s new album will also be out within the year as it is included on the next issue in the cover’s new album list. The said issue is a “Fall Music Preview” which also listed new albums from Prince, Disclosure and Lana Del Ray. The magazine though has only issued a digital representation of the cover.
