In a recent update, it was officially announced by Billboard that Adeles’ new album “25” has broken the previous record set by the boy band ‘NSYNC. Billboard reported that “25” sold over 2.433 million copies of the album within the first four days of its release. ‘NSYNC previously hold the record for selling 2.416 million copies of their album “No Strings Attached” that came in 2000. According to Entertainment Weekly, the former member of the boyband ‘NSYNC, Lance Bass tweeted and congratulated Adele for her success, further stating that the group says bye-bye to the top position as Adele stepped in with the new record on chart.
Another fellow member Joey Fatone stated that, he is completely bowled by the works of British soul singer. He noted ahead that he adored the songs and he himself bought “25.” Adeles’ work in “25” made him feel nostalgic and it reminded him of their groups’ work.
He felt a bit taken aback as the record title goes away from the group but he later mentioned that records are meant to be broken and he was happy with the kind of response “25” has got so far.
As the album is not available for streaming, the only option remains is to purchase it. The industry experts are speculating that the record is about to reach 3 million copies, and a week time is still there to end. Adele has managed to surpass all best-selling albums of 2015, up till now.
