Adele has reportedly turned down a massive £80million offer to tour for her long awaited third album to spend more time with her son, Angelo.
The singer had huge commercial and critical success with her first two albums, 19 and 21, and now at 27, Adele is expected to release a new album in November. According to MailOnline, she was offered big wages for the tour but the singer preferred to spend time with her two years old son and her partner Simon Konecki.
A lot of promoters are after Adele to sign up for a global stadium tour or perform in Vegas residencies, like Elton John and Britney Spears. But Adele doesn’t want to tour with her son to keep her affairs private. Also, she is scared of giving tiring performances because of vocal cord. She suffered from a vocal cord hemorrhage in 2011 and had to go through an operation which saved her life. Disturbing her chords may harm her more.
Since her operation she has only performed once live, when she gave a rendition of her chartbuster Skyfall at the Oscars, 2013. A tour for Adele would be an enormous success though. Reportedly, Caesar’s Palace and MGM Grand were ready to shell out £500,000 a night, and the Venetian was keen on parting with £750,000 every night for the singer to perform. Adele also admitted to be scared of audiences and claimed to get anxiety attacks while performing in front of large audiences.
There hasn’t been any confirmation from the singer about her new album, although it might be titled 25. While reports are there for November, Ed Sheeran claimed that the album is already completed. Sheeran told U.K.’s Capital FM, ‘I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good.’ The singer said.
