Adrianne Palicki In ABC’s Newest Superhero Series ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’; Netflix Not To Be Outdone Plans ‘The Defenders’

Adrianne Palicki will be playing Mockingbird once more in Marvel’s continuing declaration for superhero screen time in network television. Read on for more details.

“Marvel’s Most Wanted” as reported by Variety will give more emphasis on the heroine of which Palicki also portrayed in Season 2 of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The new superhero drama series will also bring in fellow show alumnus Lance Hunter, which played by actor Nick Blood.

It was first reported that “Marvel’s Most Wanted” will be a spin-off via The Hollywood Reporter. However, insiders claim that the upcoming series is solely a first-hand account of the exploits of Mockingbird and Lance Hunter as they are put on a spotlight. Plot details are still being kept hush-hush although it has been insinuated that it will narrative will be triggered by the aftermath of what occurred in the final episodes of “S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “The X-Files”) and Paul Zbyszewski (“Lost”) re-team once again as creators and showrunners of the series which will be aired on ABC studios. Both men who also worked as producers for “S.H.I.E.L.D.” will also be executively producing the series with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb.

ABC President Paul Lee had this to say on their continued interest on portraying Marvel Universe characters on the small screen.

“We absolutely love those characters on ‘SHIELD,’ Lee adamantly again told Variety.

This adoration for the characters of “Marvel’s Most Wanted” happens together with the renewed appearance for a third season of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Agent Carter” running for a second stint still on the ABC network.

Not to be left in the races, on-demand video stream giant Netflix has also jockeyed in for the position. Business Insider reports that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will have their own Avengers-like cross-over version called “The Defenders” in the future for Netflix. Daredevil on Netflix has been met with praise along with high ratings.
