As the fall television season comes to a close, with each fall television series heading towards either a fall finale or winter finale, more and more news regarding the winter and the midseason television shows are being given out. Among the shows that are going on a winter hiatus is MARVEL’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, who will be making room for MARVEL’s “Agent Carter”, which allow fans and viewers to dive headlong into another thrilling adventure with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), but this time, in post-World War II Hollywood. She, of course, will be accompanied by several familiar faces in a season to remember, as teased in the latest promotional video that was released for the series. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for MARVEL’s “Agent Carter”. Read on to learn more about what to expect when the series returns on Jan. 5, 2015.
Just like many of its counterparts who began airing new seasons during the fall television season, the first half of MARVEL’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will be culminating with an epic winter finale that, according to ABC Disney Press, will change the playing field forever, and in particular for Agent Leo Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg).
This will air on December 8, 2015, and will then go on a break, in order to allow MARVEL’s “Agent Carter” to once again give us a blast from the past as viewers and fans embark on another mission with Strategic Science Reserve (SSR) Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her crew.
Just recently, according to Screen Rant and Hit Fix, a new official trailer has been dropped for the show’s second season. It prides itself to contain the “original” superhero crime-fighting team- Peggy and Mr. Edward Jarvis (James D’Arcy), as the two came before S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers.
The trailer showed Peggy being welcomed to Los Angeles by Jarvis, as soon as she arrived; and by Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj), who greeted her in what looked like the SSR branch in Los Angeles.
Not much was revealed about the main plot, but what is sure is that it will definitely be a bigger mystery and case than the first season’s, and definitely more bizarre, as the trailer showed Peggy eyeing a person encased in a humungous ice slab.
Aside from this, the trailer saw Peggy proving her worth, as she knocked bad guys out, wielded a gun, and spoke in an impressive American accent for one complete sentence.
