The Philpppine Star reports that Alden Richards’ “Wish I May” album has now achieved gold status! The Philippine Association of the Record Industry Inc. gave the award to Richards on yesterday’s “Eat Bulaga!”

Richards was surprised with the outstanding achievement for digital sales accolade given to him. This was because the actor’s album is yet to be introduced today at SM North EDSA.

“Wow, wala na naman akong masabi,” (Wow, I am speechless) Richards said after accepting his award.

“Thank you po! Thank you po kasi actually hindi pa po lumalabas ‘yong album, e.” “Thank you sa lahat, thank you Lord, sa lahat ng fans, sa family ko, sa Eat Bulaga! Thank you po, thank you so much. (“Thank you! Thank you because the album has not even come out yet. Thank you to every one, thank you Lord, to all the fans, to my family, to Eat Bulaha! Thank you so much.”) he said. “GMA Records, GMA Artist Center, thank you po,” he added.

The album includes several cover songs, containing the singles “Thinking Out Loud” and “God Gave Me You”, which are often used in the episodes of the “Kalye-serye.” It has two original songs, the carrier single “Wish I may” and “Urong Sulong.”
