It’s impossible to confine the fame of the Aldub love team within the Philippines. Through the power of social media, the AldubNation (as fans call their group in general) behind Alden Richards and Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza, positively seized the attention of singer, Bryan White.
Since the start of their on-screen relationship, Alden Richards and Yaya Dub lip-synched love songs to express their characters’ (or their own) feelings for each other. One of the songs that became the trademark of their tandem is ‘God Gave Me You’. When a pivotal scene takes place, this song is dubsmashed by Alden as he serenades the apple of his eye. The studio audience would shriek in anticipation likewise. Who wouldn’t get thrilled when the male protagonist tries his best to sweep off his princess’ feet?
Bryan White easily noticed the Aldub heatwave on Twitter, which prompted him to ask what is Aldub, as reported by Inquirer. Fans immediately replied to his series of questions until he finally understood what it was all about. He responded with gratitude for appreciating the song, “God Gave Me You,” that was first heard in 1999. This is included in his “How Lucky I Am” album.
Summit Express cited that the 41-year-old music artist posted a video message saying how much he loves the overwhelming support of Filipinos and other Asian fans. He even promised to personally come to the Philippines for a tour.
Aldub enchanted the hearts of Filipinos from all walks of life. This isn’t a question anymore of how successful they are in the new phase of their career. With this recent news of a Western country singer noticing the lovely duo, this is yet another milestone for the Aldub love team. It would be great if White will share the stage with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza in his tour.
