Name some of the achievements of Aldub: new-found fame, Twitter records broken, outpour of product endorsement, a film currently in production, awards, and so much more for Alden Richards and Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza. The gifts from heaven apparently don’t stop here as they are being complimented not just fans and viewers but Catholic priests as well. Read on for more details.
In the current entertainment industry both for local and international shows, a pair romantically-linked in the story are often showing too much passion up to the extent it might not be suitable for younger audience. Aldub is a deviation from this norm as their split-screen love story test their patience until the destined time comes. It also teaches other values which even the Catholic priests highly appreciated.
According to CBCP, Rev. Fr. Joel Jason said a distinct lesson that several Filipino viewers can apply in their life is “love without a measure.” Fr. Jason is a parish priest in a metropolitan city who previously talked about Aldub in a mass.
“Whatever Lola Nidora’s challenge may be, even if it seems like a death wish, Alden does it for Yaya Dub. When you love, you don’t measure. The true measure of love is love without a measure.” Jason shared.
In an article from Inquirer, Fr. Kunegundo Garganta challenged the Aldub fans must look not only on the love story between them but also on the values it purports for the viewers especially its message about morality. Fr. Garganta is the executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Youth.
The article also stated that other Catholic Church figures have praised Aldub. They are “supporting the noble cause of spreading virtue, values, and morality that our nation deserves.” To get a recommendation from priests is like a divine intercession from heaven.
As Aldub continues to reflect good values in an entertaining way, more opportunities for Alden Richards and Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza will come for certain.
