“Ant Man” fame Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard of “Battleship” fame have signed the upcoming Sci-fi movie titled “Mute” of Duncan Jones, based on a story somewhat similar to Jones’ 2009’s debut project titled “Moon.”
Yes, Duncan Jones, who is at present busy in preparing for his epic fantasy movie named “Warcraft” in a happy mode after launching its first trailer recently, selected Alexander Skarsgard and Paul Rudd for playing a mute bartender and a surgeon, respectively.
Skarsgard and Rudd are the first to join the star cast, meaning more faces will join the team soon. Jones, to express his happiness on the start of “Mute” by Rudd and Skarsgard’s joining, goes to his Twitter page and wrote, “Have been wanting to make this for so, so long. You guys are going to get something really special. :)”
If we talk about the story of the movie then it will be a very simple one but show 40 years after Berlin. Skarsgard, a mute bartender will be seen searching for his partner who went missing and during his search for her, he encounters seedy gangsters and also meets Rudd who is one of the eccentric surgeons. Rudd’s character is the one who helps Skarsgard’s character in finding his love by providing him with only clue available.
During the Comic-Con, the director revealed about his plans to start working on “Mute” before the release of “Warcraft” which means that we can expect this movie to hit screens in the beginning of 2017. “Mute” is a long awaited dream of the director and we can understand his happiness over two famous actors boarding the team.
Well, we don’t know how much time Jones will take in finding other characters and team mates for the movie but one thing is clear that with this wonderful start, the director will try to finalize star cast and other members soon. So, stick to this space for more updates and wish the director and stars all the very best.
