Alien: Covenant is in post-production stage and fans are of course eagerly waiting to witness the Aliens. Recently, the lead of the Ridley Scott-directed movie, Michael Fassbender revealed some interesting details about the movie.

Alien: Covenant, the 20th Century Fox movie, star Michael Fassbender spoke to Collider and confirmed “a scary ride” for the title ship’s crew.

Fassbender said that he is excited to see the film and the same feeling is with everybody in the film. Alien: Covenant will be scarier than Prometheus and have the feel of ‘imminent sort of disaster’ just like Prometheus, he added.

“With the massive scope of ‘Prometheus’… Yeah, you know once it starts and the ball starts rolling, it’s definitely going to bring chills to the cinema,” the Assassin’s Creed star stated.

The Inglourious Basterds star will reprise his Prometheus role in Alien: Covenant along with Danny McBride, Katherine Waterston, Demián Bichir, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smolett, Billy Crudup, Callie Hernandez and Carmen Ejogo.

As per reports, Noomi Rapace who earlier played the character of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw might be seen reprising her role.

Earlier, one of the members of the cast, Danny McBride had also revealed that the movie is moving towards a much darker horror story and leaves no room for even the slightest comic relief.

Meanwhile, Alien: Covenant connects to the Ridley Scott’s seminal work of science fiction in 1979 where Covenant, the colony ship, bound to far side of the galaxy for a remote planet. The crew witnesses a dark world there against their thought of an uncharted paradise. The sole inhabitant of the planet is the “synthetic” David- Prometheus expedition’s survivor.

While Ridley Scott will be seen directing the project again, Jack Paglen and Michael Green will screenplay for the film.

Alien: Covenant is expected to hit the theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.
