Alvin and the chipmunks are at it again. The official teaser trailer was released on July 8, 2015.

The new animation movie starring the chipmunks is to be released later this year and Fox Studios have released a teaser trailer. The video is rather short and does not elaborate on the movie’s plot. It is however clear that the chipmunks are having a blast on a road trip. The new movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, might just turn out to be like its predecessors and charm its audiences with sheer cuteness.

This movie is supposed to be about Dave deciding to propose to his girlfriend. The chipmunks are obviously against the idea as this would mean that Dave will not be friends with them or worse, ask them to move out. Thinking that this means the end of the world and the beginning of the apocalyptic doom, Alvin and his brothers head out on an epic road trip to stop Dave from getting engaged, or worse, getting married. They do hilariously bung it up as per usual and make the movie delightful for their audiences.

Fans will want to know if Dave gets married in the movie, but the teaser doesn’t give away any spoilers. If the previous movies in the series are anything to go by, this movie will also be full of danceable voice modulated songs. Audiences will probably flock to the theaters just to watch the little trio belt out songs done in their funny little voices.

Jason Lee returns as Dave for the movie. Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney return to do the voices of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore respectively. Bella Thorne, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Tony Hale have joined the cast for the fourth installment in the franchise. The film is being directed by Walt Becker of the Old Dogs and Wild Dogs fame. The movie is set to be released in time for the Christmas holidays on December 23, 2015.
