Amazon will be releasing a new batch of pilots for its 2015 season this coming Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. This is the site’s third year of pilot releases. Subscribers to the streaming service in America, United Kingdom and Germany can begin watching the new shows on the release date. Find more about this news below.

Amazon is releasing 13 new pilots in its latest season. Of these shows, two are dramas, four are comedies, one is a docuseries and the rest are programs geared for children.

The drama shows include “Point of Honor,” which is a Civil War story created by Carlton Cuse, and “The Man in High Castle,” which is based on a 1962 book written by Philip K. Dick, with Frank Spotnitz as its showrunner.

The comedies include “Cocked” from Sam Baum, which covers a family of gun sellers in Virginia; “Down Dog” from Robin Schiff, which tackles the yoga culture in Los Angeles; “Mad Dogs” from Shawn Ryan, which is about four male friends in their 40s and their weekend adventure gone bad; and “Salem Rogers” from Mark Waters and Lindsey Stoddart, which centers on a has-been supermodel who returns to the industry and the job she used to top.

You can check the shows’ details in an earlier report published on MNG.

Amazon’s docuseries “The New Yorker Presents,” meanwhile, is the first for the streaming site. It is produced in collaboration with Conde Naste Entertainment and Vanity Fair. It will feature segments that are picked from the magazine, “The New Yorker.”

The kids programs, on the other hand, consist of “Buddy: Tech Detective,” “Nikeo and the Sword of Light,” “Sara Solves It,” “The Stinky and Dirty Show,” “Table 58” and “Just Add Magic.”

Similar to the previous pilot season on Amazon, subscribers to the site will be asked to give feedback on which of these shows they would like to proceed into a full series. Access to this show will be via Amazon Instant Video, which can also be watched on mobile or other portable devices.

Amazon’s pilot slate was first unveiled in April 2013, with “Alpha House” and “Betas” receiving full season picks. The second pilot season brought the company’s most successful series so far in “Transparent,” which continues to get critical praise and awards recognition. Last December, the site released “Mozart in the Jungle” from its second season and will soon release “Red Oaks” and “Hand of God,” also from the second season.
