Meanwhile, Alonzo Gutierrez (Benito Martinez) asked help from his brother after Tony (Johnny Ortiz) asked for help; and Mrs. Taylor (Jennifer Savidge), asked Carter Nix (Elvis Nolasco) for help regarding her daughter, who later on revealed some shocking new information. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Barb Hanlon practicing at a gun range. Meanwhile, Timothy Little  (Cedric Duplechain) told Aliyah Shadeed (Regina King) that the District Attorney had a weak case against Carter Nix (Elvis Nolasco).  Hector Tontz (Richard Cabral ) was then  transported out, and as he waited to arrive at the safe house, he looked at a picture of his daughter, Adela.

Meanwhile, Russ Skokie (Timothy Hutton) burned some old pictures of Matt Skokie relishing in torture and violence with his army buddies.

At the juvenile detention center, Tony Gutierrez (Johnny Ortiz) finally asked his father for help after his friend was killed by the prison guards after he swung his teacher’s guitar around. Because of this, Alonzo Gutierrez (Benito Martinez) tried to sell his business to get enough money to hire a private attorney, and later turned to his brother for help.

While this happened, Hector bonded with his daughter over burgers, and tried to convince his  girlfriend to marry him so that they could go into the Witness Protection Program as well, and promised that he would try to make everything right this time around.

Back at the headquarters for the fight for justice for Carter, Ruth Taylor (Jennifer Savidge), Aubry Taylor’s (Caitlin Gerard) asked Aliyah to let her talk to Carter as they both knew that Aubry and Carter were not good for each other.

She then talked to Carter and begged him to let Aubry go, if he really loved her, as she was dying.

At the hospital, after learning that Gwen was ready to be discharged, Eve Carlin (Penelope Ann Miller) told her husband that they would work out their family’s problems together, but that they really had to focus on Gwen as she was now ready to come home.

At the courthouse, the judge informed them that she would be taking her time with the case so that she could properly weigh her final decision. They then heard the testimony of Hector who told them that he had been cruising around when he had gotten a text from Carter.

After the preliminary examination, Carter asked his lawyer to give Aubry an envelope, which contained a torn up picture of the advertisement in a magazine that she had given to him. Because of this, she had her parents call in the District Attorney and the lead detective as she was ready to cooperate. She then told them that Carter had gone to Matt’s place to get drugs, but since he was short on cash, he wanted to sleep with Aubry in exchange for drugs, as she had done that before. Later that night, while they were at their friend’s place, she decided to go over to Matt in order to negotiate again. They were negotiating when Gwen had come in, and had screamed at Matt who then roughed her up in the bedroom. Afterwards, as he tried to rough Aubry up to, she defended herself by shooting him with her friend’s gun. Gwen then came at her, which caused her to shoot her as well.

Meanwhile, Russ, after being told by Nancy that she was worried that Barb might try to kill herself as she had done that before, went over to her place, and reminded her of all the good that she had done for their sons.
