“American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson” has been ordered to a 10-episode series, which will be created by “American Horror Story” creator, Ryan Murphy. And all is working out for the show that it just announced a cast member who will be joining the show.
According to Variety, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” star Courtney B. Vance has been cast to play the role of Johnnie Cochran. His character is a defense attorney who’s known for his flamboyant attitude.
Vance will join John Travolta and David Schwimmer to form Simpson’s legal “dream team” in the series. Travolata will take on the role of Robert Shapira and Scwhimmer will portray Robert Kardashian.
Aside from that, the show also has Cuba Gooding Jr. who will play Simpson and Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, a prosecutor.
The show is based on “The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson” by Jeffrey Toobin. Fox 21 Television Studios will produce the series along with FX Productions. Executive producers include Murphy, Brad Simpson, Scott Alexander, Nina Jacobson, Larry Karaszewski, Dante Di Loreto and Brad Falchuk.
Production of the show will begin this year with no confirmed date yet, but it will be held in Los Angeles.
With Murphy behind this series, it’s definitely something to look forward to. The success of all the “American Horror Story” series that he’s done has been remarkable and there’s no doubt that this is another hit TV series by the anthology creator that will make us feel all kinds of emotions that we’re supposed to feel. To put cap it off, its cast selection is indeed, amazing, which is another great addition to the show that will make it an epic series.
