Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode began with Maya Decker (Elena Kampouris) in Cameron’s (Cameron Dallas) apartment, as she had slept with him. She then told him not to worry about her paranoid father, Peter Decker (Peter Facinelli).
Meanwhile, in Bamako, Luc Girard (Gregory Fitoussi) paid Shakir Khan (Yousef Sweid) a visit. However, before they could say anything else to each other, the man who had taken in a wounded Sergeant Odelle Ballard (Anna Friel) approached them. He discovered that Aslam (Omar Ghazaoui) hadn’t returned yet to his uncle. However, Luc followed him as he was suspicious of him. He managed to confront Odelle, who fought him off, got the flash drive from him, and pointed a gun to him. She then ordered him to drive her to Aslam. She then called up Colonel Stephen Glen (Treat Williams). He allowed NSA to learn their location, but she told him that he should be ashamed of himself. Afterwards, she called up the New York Times, and told her who she was, and told her to meet her at the Kishet Club the next day at noon.
Meanwhile, Alex Baker (Jay O. Sanders) told Peter to make sure that he sets up a meeting for him with Sophia or else the charges against Joe Abrams (Darren Goldstein) would never go away, and a picture of Sophia and her husband consulting with a terrorist named Yusuf Qasim (Anthony Azizi) would be leaked to the public.
Ruby Simms (Daniella Pineda) accompanied Harrison Walters to the New York Times. Harrison would find out more about Black Sands by talking to a writer who worked closely with his father. He then learned that his father’s source regarding Black Sands was Yusuf. Harrison then went over to GBR in order to talk to David Tenant. He knew something about it, but was turned down. They then went to Bob Offer (Nate Mooney). He kicked them out of his apartment as soon as they arrived.
During lunch, Sophia told Peter that Baker had taken that picture and was using it as leverage because Black Sands. It was a crude oil operation, was worth millions, and she and her late husband had gotten to it before Baker did. It was why Societelle hired Abdul Abbas to kill them. She also told him that not only was Yusuf not a terrorist, but he was alive and well. Peter then excused himself. It was after noticing that Cameron was there and told him to stay away from him and his family.
Later, he shared this information with Joe and asked for the number of “the Trashman”. After meeting up with him, the Trashman told him to call him. He had five grand and the courage to break into the data center where all of Societelle’s data were.
Later that night, Peter got surprised after discovering that his wife had invited Cameron over for dinner. Afterwards, he confronted Cameron and discovered that he had been paid off by Baker. He then called the Trashman and decided to break into the data center. Before that, he had the Trashman knock Cameron out so that he would never go near them again.
Meanwhile, Bob told Harrison that Yusuf was alive as he had been at Odelle’s funeral. It led them to track him down, but were confronted by Yusuf, who realized that they had been following him.
At Bamako, Odelle was reunited with Aslam and discovered that the files on her flash drive mentioned something called “Black Sands”. She then had to hide in a trunk as General Diallo (Itoya Osagiede) and his men came looking for her. Shakir and Diallo then fought as the general told Shakir that putting Odelle on Shakir’s show would expose their affair to the world. After leaving, Luc burst in as his girlfriend had been shot dead by Frank Majors (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), who had mistaken her for Odelle.
