Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are selling their New Orleans home. People are calling it a “fire sale,” because the couple is really looking to sell it off quick. They have even slashed the asking price because they can’t find any takers yet.

Brangelina are selling their big mansion style home in New Orleans. The couple has not yet disclosed the reason for the sale.

The mansion reportedly has five bedrooms and five bathrooms and designer interiors that will make an average joe’s eyes pop. It reportedly has Venetian plastered walls, mantles that are carved out of marble, exquisite fireplaces also done in marble, complete crown mouldings, and a spiral staircase that gives it the aura of a palace. It also has an elevator, apparently to remind people that it is still the 21st century and the home has all the modern conveniences too along with medieval luxury.

The house was built in the 1830’s and was bought by Brad Pitt when he was filming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” The house has since been renovated and lavished upon.

Zillow reports that the house also has a two storey guest house, where the couple’s friends crash occasionally. Jonah Hill reportedly crashed at the mansion while filming “21 Jump Street.” He joked that paparazzi would often wait outside the mansion to click photos and usually gave a sigh of disappointment when they saw him emerge out of the house instead of the owner.

Sharing pictures of the house is impossible mostly because there are laws against clicking photos in that neighborhood. Apparently, that area of New Orleans has many homes that house celebrities and a naïve camera-happy novice can get booked for infringement of privacy.

Design and Trend reports that the mansion was previously listed for 6.5 million dollars, but the couple is getting anxious about selling it and have slashed the price down by about 850 000 dollars. It is now listed for 5.65 million dollars. Now that’s what I call a good bargain!
