“The Angry Birds” is more popularly known as a mobile game app but it will soon be seen in theaters as a 3D film. Read on for more about this excitingly cute news!
From Rovio Entertainment, “The Angry Birds” is a story of sweet, colorful, flightless birds that live on an island peacefully and happily. They treasure eggs and are all carefree and easygoing, except for a few: Red, the bird who often has to deal with his anger; Chuck, who’s fast and does every thing swiftly, whether it is talking or moving; and last but everyone’s favorite, Bomb, who lives in a bomb shelter and frequently blows up due to his IED(Intermittent Explosions Disorder) disorder. The harmony of these birds is disturbed after a few green pigs land on their island.
The first official trailer of the film was released recently, which introduced each character. The film also answers the question that why the birds are so angry, as quoted in The Philippine Star.
The trailer appropriately opens with the Carpenters hit “Close To You”. The lead character, Red, voiced by Jason Sudeikis, gets signals from three sexy birds but very soon we get to actually know the birds were trying to get attention of the someone who was sitting just above Red on one of the branches of the tree.
The teaser also gives a first look at Josh Gad’s speedy Chuck, Danny McBride’s accident-prone and volatile Bomb and the presumably villainous pig Leonard, voiced by Bill Hader.
