After a successful 2014 for Chris Pratt, it looks like his wife, Anna Faris, is in for a treat as well. Hosting the 2015 People’s Choice Awards, they made sure to make their audience laugh at their silly household.
After lending his voice for “The Lego Movie,” landing the lead role on the successful “Guardians of the Galaxy” and getting cast on the highly anticipated reboot “Jurassic Park;” 2014 was definitely a good year for Chris Pratt. With this series of movies behind the actor’s resume, his wife, Anna Faris, decided to make use of this by making a pre-recorded opener as she hosted the 2015 People’s Choice Awards.
On the funny clip, 38-year-old “The House Bunny” star asks her husband if he could make an appearance on the highly anticipated show. Citing a crazy excuse that he has “11 movies to shoot by next Friday,” Pratt immediately brushes off his wife’s request.
At the start of the short skit, Faris then reminds her husband that she was chosen as a co-host for the 2015 People’s Choice Awards. Hilariously, her 35-year-old husband answers: “Yeah, I turned that down.”
Faris then asks if Pratt could make a “teeny, little appearance” despite his extremely busy schedule. While reading a script, Pratt did not show any form of interest to his wife’s request.
“Well you know I’d do anything for you. I love you, but I’m super busy right now. I have, like, 11 movies to shoot by next Friday,” says Pratt.
He then searches for a script for his wife but then realizes that it was his again.
“No, that’s just a script called Anna. Yeah, they want me to star in it,” he adds.
Moving to a different topic, Faris starts to open up the idea of hiring a nanny for their child. Especially with Pratt’s busy schedule and Faris hosting the show, having a helper would be big for their household.
At this point, Pratt seems surprised at her wife’s new decision, especially since they had already discussed that they weren’t going to do “the nanny thing.” Interestingly, Faris reminds him that the decision was made when they both thought his career was going nowhere.
Out of nowhere, Faris’ co-host Allison Janney enters the room and starts showing signs of a nightmare nanny. First, she calls their child “a snot monster” then she starts smoking a cigar. She quickly makes an exit as soon as the couple inform her that she has the wrong child.
The audience had plenty of laughs from the skit they performed together. Even with Faris’ earlier admission that she was nervous about it, it looked like it was well loved by the audience. Throughout the show, Faris and Janney had a number of well-coordinated outfit changes.
