Marvel’s “Ant-Man” film has just been recently released to the public. However, even though the movie starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lily is just fresh out of the oven, speculations to the movie’s sequel (Ant-Man 2) is already buzzing through the internet. Read on for more details.

If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), then you probably know that the sequel for the “Ant-Man” movie is a long way to go. It’s not even part of MCU’s Phase Three plan; but who knows, things might change like the movie’s placement from Phase Three to Phase Two. Given this possibility, early speculations on who will the next villain of Hank Pym and the gang be, is a worthwhile endeavor.

Let us do a run down on some of the popular villain picks on the web today:

First off on our chopping block is Eric O’Grady (a.k.a Black Ant). You ask why the Black Ant is part of the list? Well given the inevitable and eventual full-blown encounter of S.H.I.E.L.D and the Ant-Man, it gives the opportunity for a character that was originally made to keep an eye on Pym’s technology to enter the scene. Screenrant noted. O’Grady, before being turned to a villain, was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was tasked to watch Pym’s tech.

The second possible enemy in our list, although originally he is Hawkeye’s foe, is William Cross (a.k.a. Crossfire). William, obvious from the last name, is the cousin of Darren (a.k.a. Yellowjacket). The entry of this tech-stealing cybernetic-implanted mercenary is a good way of furthering the alliance or connection between the Avengers and Ant-Man.

The final villain on our list is Jocasta. This character is a robot that Ultron built to be his mate. How can she be connected to Ant-Man you ask? Well in the comics, Ultron tried to transfer Wasp’s life force into this robot. Given this plot, Marvel has no reason not to use the Wasp storyline in order to introduce this villain.
What do you think of our list? Which villain do you believe is better suited to fight the Ant-Man in the possible sequel? Tell us your opinion, we’d love to hear from you.
