Director Peyton Reed has said that the ending of “Ant-Man” Movie was originally a showdown between Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Mitchell Carson (Martin Donovan). Will there be a possible sequel? Read on for more details.
When Peyton Reed was asked about how “Captian America: Civil War” affected the script for the “Ant-Man” Movie, he revealed that there was supposed to be a showdown between Paul Rudd and Martin Donovan’s character at the ending.
“At the end of the movie he gets away and has these Cross particles, and there was a sequence where Ant-Man has an encounter with him. But then for a couple of reasons, it felt like maybe we should leave those particles out there. In that original thing, he took Martin Donovan out and got the particles,” Reed told Cinema Blend.
If this was the intended ending of the “Ant-Man” Movie, would there be a possibility that a sequel of the film would be released in the future to feature the showdown? Cinema Blend thought that it could be possible.
‘Ant-Man’ Movie Gives Big Importance On the Family
So far, the movie received general good reviews, being called as a great film, with equal level of quality to other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies. Moviepilot praised it saying, “Definitely a film for the whole family.”
This was because the movie gave big importance on the family. Those who have not watched the film would see Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) giving his best to take care of his daughter Cassandra Lang (Abby Ryder Fortson), which would have the same powers as Scott shown in “Young Avengers #6” (May 2006).
On top of that, the movie was not boring because of the eventual humor that the cast brought such as Luis (Michael Pena), Tip T.I. Harris, and others.
Well, it seems that the cast would be having a good time. Kudos to the production team.
“Ant-Man” Movie just hit theaters last Friday.
