Anthony Mackie Wants To Play The Hulk In Marvel Cinematic Universe

Anthony Mackie has already been doing a decent job ever since he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” His character Sam Wilson is a soldier, also known as the Falcon, has proved to be Captain America’s most loyal compatriot. For quite some time, the Falcon has been known to take on the Captain America mantle after Steve Rogers, so in a recent event when Anthony Mackie was asked to comment about which character would he like to play in the MCU, this is what he had to say.

According to, if there were any superhero Anthony would like to switch sides with, it would be with Mark Ruffalo who has been known to play the role of Hulk. The “Captain America: Civil War” star stated that instead of getting to see Sam Wilson become Captain America, he would want to play the role of Hulk.

The actor who was at the Salt Lake Comic Con recently, explained that ever since the beginning he has been a fan of the Hulk. He in fact grew up admiring the character and even called Lou Ferrigno as the dude. Joking about how he would dress up in green and try to hit people when he was much younger, the “Captain America: Civil War” star further explained how amazing it would be if the Hulk was to approach someone asking for their number.

He also added that given all his strengths and power, Black Widow chose him even when she could be with anyone. Given the way Anthony has been portraying the Falcon, it wouldn’t hurt to see him play the role of the goliath green rage monster.

USA Today added the comment that Anthony made about him or Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes taking on the Captain America mantle in near future. According to him, there’s no need to cast another Captain America, as he does not think Captain America needs to change. He added that if either he or Sebastian were to take up the role of Captain, their original characters would be left out.

He explained that if he were to play Captain, there wouldn’t be anyone to play Falcon and the same for Bucky. It remains to be seen who gets to be Steve’s successor as the next Captain America, as currently fans will be looking forward to watching the battle in “Captain America: Civil War.”
