The year 2015 has just begun, but Ariana Grande already has a lot on her plate. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
According to Rolling Stone, Ariana Grande will be the headlining act at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game halftime show, which will be held at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015.
The league confirmed Grande as the headlining act for the event and announced that Nico & Vinz (known for their song “Am I Wrong”) will perform during the official All-Star Game practice session at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015.
The starters for the event will be announced on Jan. 22, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
Fan voting ended on Jan. 19, 2015, with Cleveland Cavaliers’ Lebron James and Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry as players who garnered the most number of votes in representing the Eastern and Western conferences.
Grande is no stranger to these kinds of performances. She has recently performed live for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Jingle Ball and American Music Awards.
A week before her NBA show, Grande is also set to perform at the 57th Grammy awards on Feb. 8, 2015, where she was nominated as Best Collaboration for the song “Bang Bang” with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J, and as Best Pop Vocal Album for “My Everything.” Grande will perform alongside AC/DC, Pharell Williams, Miranda Lambert and Madonna.
As if singing gigs weren’t enough, Grande also has her hands full on television. Grande was recently announced as a guest star for the new Fox horror-comedy drama, “Scream Queens.” Grande was cast alongside Lea Michele, Emma Roberts and Joe Manganiello. The series is set for a fall 2015 debut.
Grande’s boyfriend, Big Sean, is reportedly terrified of Grande’s role for “Scream Queens.” According to HollywoodLife.com, Grande’s powerful vocals make Big Sean’s eardrums feel they’re going to burst. But being the supportive boyfriend that he is, we know that Big Sean will always be there to cheer on Ari.
Grande will also begin her extensive road tour on Feb. 25, 2015.
The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will air live on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on TNT.
