Arrested Development Season 5 fans can now relax as the next season is negotiations are all ironed out. The actors are all in for Season 5 and the series has finalized the salary negotiations. Executive producer Brian Grazer informed that they are about to kick-off the production process. The producers prioritized to address the issues that have affected the show last season.
Huffington Post reported that Grazer talked about this. He said, “We found a way to create the compensation structure for all the actors and create work matrix so they can still make movies and do other things and it will all integrate.” Grazer added, “So we are really close — I think within a couple of weeks at the most.”
The producers do not want to repeat the mistakes committed in the previous season. During the last part, the series did not iron out the actor’s schedules which cause the delays in the production. Fans will just have to expectantly wait as production is set to roll.
Arrested Development Season 5 Fixes Former Issues
The show debuted in 2003 only to be canceled in 2006. In 2013, it returned for season 4 on Netflix. However, there were loopholes and weak areas that it did not fare well in the ratings. The lead actor Jason Bateman said that some parts of Arrested Development were “a little confusing and frankly underwhelming for the audience.”
In 2014, Netflix Chief Content Officer said that the network wants to produce Season 5. But, the negotiations did not end well. So it has to wait for right time, and it did not take long.
This time, all the cast members received good deals when it comes to salaries and schedules. They are Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Jeffrey Tambor, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, and David Cross. Lead actor Jason Bateman is waiting for the go signal when the production for Arrested Development Season 5 will commence.
