“Arrow” Season 2 Finale Episode 23 “Unthinkable” aired on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Oliver faked the woman he loves to rescue the real one. Read on to learn more about MNG’s “Arrow” recap of Season 2 Finale Episode 23 “Unthinkable.”

Previously on “Arrow” (“Unthinkable” Season 2 Finale Episode 23), Roy (Colton Haynes) woke up cured from the Mirakuru antidote that Oliver had administered on him. The group left the tower before the Deathstrokes got in there.

In the Team Arrow lair, Sara (Caity Lotz) arrived with some help from an assassin, Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law). Oliver (Stephen Amell) did not feel good about having assassins around. However, what choice did he have? He instructed them not to kill anybody else. Sara managed to convince Oliver to fight alongside Nyssa, assuring him that he had no price to pay. Unfortunately, that was a lie—the assassins’ help in exchange of Sara’s homecoming with the League was the cost.

Moreover, Oliver gave a red mask to Roy before he called Thea (Willa Holland). Thea went to see Roy. It was somehow a heartbreaking moment for these two. Why? Because after the Deathstrokes invasion of the Starling City, Roy went home and found a note from Thea. She told him that she must leave and could not trust anybody, even him. She went off with Malcolm (John Barrowman).

Moreover, while Team Arrow was busy curing soldiers at Queen Consolidated, Slade (Manu Bennett) had escaped, while Isabel (Summer Glau) was caught by Sara and Nyssa.  Clearly, Isabel did not know when to shut up. Nyssa snapped her neck. She was dead in an instant.

Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) was held at gunpoint. By who? By Diggle (David Ramsey), Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) and Deadshot (Michael Rowe). The trio were trying to stop Amanda from launching her drone bombs. It could definitely destroy Starling City and kill innocent people.

Slade took Laurel (Katie Cassidy) because he knew that Oliver loves her. What was the plan? The plan was to make Slade believe that he got the wrong girl. In the Queen’s mansion, Oliver knew about the cameras that Slade had installed there. He took Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) there and instructed her to be safe. The surprising part was when Oliver said “I love you” to Felicity! But, hey, it was just a plan to lure Slade. Oliver left Felicity with a needle laced with the antidote so Felicity could stick it to Slade when he comes for her.

Here came the epic fight scene of the “Arrow” Season 2 Finale Episode 23 “Unthinkable.” The first scene was a flashback of how Oliver got Slade’s eye off. It was a gruesome scene, having to watch Oliver stick the arrow to Slade’s eye. Now back to the present, which was the second fight scene. Oliver used his arrows to have Slade tied to a pole. Then, he called Amanda to stop the drone project. It turned out that the Arrow saved the day.

It was a sad moment as we watched Sara go with the League. Oh well, she had to keep her word. She then handed Laurel her leather jacket. Could Laurel follow her footsteps as the Canary? Meanwhile, Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) was in a bad shape, coughing blood. Laurel stayed with him while waiting for an ambulance. Would Quentin make it?

Slade was now locked up in ARGUS. Oliver thanked Slade for helping him become the hero. Then, Oliver left, with Slade yelling in the background.
