‘Arrow’ Recap And Spoilers: A Dangerous Partnership, Constantine And Other Family Matters

“Arrow” Season 4 Episode 4 “Beyond Redemption” aired last Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 8:00 PM on the CW. In this episode, in the process of investigating several corrupt cops with the help of Captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) discovered Lance’s deadly secret, which caused him to re-evaluate his intentions for running for mayor. Meanwhile, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) came to terms with Ray Palmer’s (Brandon Routh) death, while Lance and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) dealt with the resurrected and feral Sara Lance (Caity Lotz). The flashbacks on the island showed what Oliver did next to the girl that he was supposed to kill. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) telling the rest of team Arrow his intention to run as mayor, and showed them their new Arrow cave, underneath his new campaign office, which used to be Sebastian Blood’s office, as he had an underground lair. They were impressed as it had been outfitted with the help of STAR Labs, even though the electricity often went haywire on them.

Afterwards, they jumped right into their case of the week, which they got wind of as two police detectives had been discovered dead. This led to Oliver offering his help to Captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) in the hopes that he would also endorse him as mayor, which he agreed to as he was sorely understaffed.

This led them to discover that they were dealing with a bunch of corrupt cops led by Liza Warner (Rutina Wesley), whom Lance identified after they discovered a warehouse full of police equipment, and after they laid a trap for them using Thea Queen (Willa Holland) as bait.

While this happened, Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) discovered that the coding on the messages on Felicity Smoak’s (Emily Bett Rickards) was the same as Ray Palmer’s (Brandon Routh) coding, and encouraged her to listen to his final messages on his crash log, which she refused to do.

Laurel told her father that she had resurrected Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), but he realized that she was just a shell of what she used to be, and asked for help from Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) who told him to put her out of her misery. This meeting was seen by Oliver and Felicity while scanning the police dashboard cameras for any sign of Liza, which led him to confront Lance and made him question his own intentions to run for mayor as he had really wanted to make Lance proud.

Lance then tried to shoot Sara, but was stopped by Laurel. Overcome with guilt and grief, he ran upstairs of the building, as Sara was being kept in a basement, and was immediately abducted by Liza and her crew, who used him to open the contraband disposal center in order to get their hands on more illegal product to sell.

Thankfully, Team Arrow showed up and rescued Lance. However, after Liza got Oliver in a choke hold, Lance convinced Liza to let Oliver go by telling her that in order to save the city, they had to save themselves first. Because of this, Oliver asked Lance to be his spy within Darhk’s operations.

The next day, Oliver discovered that Thea had managed to hire some interns and had written down his speech for the press conference in which he was going to announce his candidacy, while Felicity finally listened to Ray’s final recordings. Later that day, Oliver announced his intention to run for mayor.

Meanwhile, the flashbacks on Lian Yu showed Oliver helping the woman (Elysia Rotaru), he was supposed to kill escape and made it appear like she was dead in front of the main guard, who, unfortunately, discovered that Oliver had been sent to infiltrate their operation.

With four episodes in, many fans and viewers are wondering what will be happening next for Team Arrow.

Next week’s episode will be an interesting and a very emotional one, according to the first look photos that have surfaced on TV Line.

As everyone by now knows, next week’s episode will feature Matt Ryan’s Constantine, as he teams up with them in order to help save Sara before she gets any worse.

The pictures see Sara in a dirty white robe, and visiting Thea in her hospital room, where, in some of the pictures, her older brother and Felicity are looking over her worriedly. At a certain point, Oliver himself has to help Thea, who somehow found herself on the floor of her hospital room.

Also, according to TV Line, one can expect that Felicity’s mother, Donna Smoak (Charlotte Ross) will be making an appearance, and it seems that she has already warmed up to Oliver, as the report says that Donna Smoak has actually been over to Felicity’s and Oliver’s cozy house in Ivytown during the months the pair were away from Star City.

Also, expect that Felicity’s father will also be making an appearance soon. Emily Bett Rickards that she doesn’t know much about her characters father, except for the fact that he is a rich villain whom the team will encounter this season.
