A crossover between Constantine and Arrow? That would be great, right? Ever since NBC cancelled “Constantine,” Warner Bros. started to find a new home for the show and finally! It seems like #HellBlazers fans will be back on track as rumors about a crossover between Constantine and Arrow are on the making.
During the San Diego Comic-Con last week, the cast and crew of “Arrow” talked about the possibility of John Constantine’s appearance in the TV series.
According to the show’s co-showrunner Wendy Mericle, they really want to do the crossover. She revealed that they’ve been talking to DC about this idea. “…We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen… But we’re really optimistic and we would love to have him,” she added.
On the other hand, there were rumors that the lead star of “Arrow,” Stephen Amell had been offered to do a guest appearance on “Constantine” before in hopes of urging a second season but since the show was cancelled, Amell supported Mericle’s statement about the possibility for the team up of the two series, saying that he’s been keeping his fingers’ crossed for a while now.
Amell said that there is an opportunity for interconnectivity with any DC television show that exist. He used “Constantine” as his example, saying that cancelling that show is so brutal besides it’s a good show and it should comeback. “And it may comeback, like there are various platforms where it could come back,” he noted during the conference.
Meanwhile, Amell also gave hints about when and where Constantine’s character more likely to appear. He stated that probably the demon-hunter detective brought in to consult on the Lazarus Pit, which was the major plotline in the last season.
Furthermore, “Arrow” Season 4 is expected to continue after its Season 3 conclusion where we see Amell’s character, Oliver leaving behind his vigilante lifestyle; hinting by his new costume for the show.
The TV series will also introduce Master Terrific and Batman villain Anarky, and may also feature flashbacks within Green Lantern’s hometown in Coast City.
On the other hand, aside from these news about Constantine crossover, there’s still no official announcement whether it will join the “Arrow” cast or not. Though one episode is not enough for the debunk show’s fans, the crossover will definitely add more excitement to the show.
So what are your thoughts about “Constantine” and “Arrow” crossover? Would it be great or will it become a big fat failure?
