Recently, Spoiler TV released a short sneak peek clip of the upcoming fourth season in the form of an interview with executive producer and writer Wendy Mericle.

According to Mericle, fans will be seeing a different side to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), as he is at the happiest that he’s ever been. He has a lot of hope and light in him as of the moment, mostly, thanks to the happiness he has with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), whom he went off with in the third season finale.

However, even though events draw him back to Starling or Star City, Oliver will try his best to still be happy, and to be drawn more towards the light, even though sometimes the situation may seem bleak.

Oliver will also be operating and trying to finally balance both personas together, as Oliver Queen, and as a vigilante.

Felicity, on the other hand, will be spending more time with Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Thea Queen (Willa Holland), and we will be seeing that the team, while Felicity and Oliver were away, came into their own as superheroes.

Felicity, now the CEO of Palmer Tech, will also be working closely with Echo Kellum’s Mister Terrific, who, Mericle stated, might be joining Team Arrow in the future.

She also mentioned that the birth of the villain Anarky, or Lonnie Machin (Alexander Clavert) will be an interesting one, as he had been pushed into the dark side by both Oliver and Thea, also opposing Team Arrow, and towards the season’s big villain, Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).

She also mentioned John Diggle’s (David Ramsey) new costume, which drew a lot of negative reactions from the public, as many compared his new helmet to that of Magneto’s.

However, the actor, according to both Comic Book Resources, and Green Arrow TV, recently had an interview with TV Guide, in which he defended the helmet, and appealed to fans and viewers not to judge it so quickly without seeing what it can do.
