The “Assassin’s Creed” is one of the most famous video games of all time. It’s no wonder how 20th Century Fox and New Regency have picked up on its popularity and decided to turn the video game into a movie.
According to Christian Post, the “Assassin’s Creed” film will revolve around the life of Desmond Miles. Miles is a bartender who will be kidnapped and subjected to an experiment by a company named “Abstergo Industries” using a machine called “Animus.” This machine will put Miles in a state, which allows him to relive the life of his ancestor, Altair, an assassin from the Middle East. As Miles journeys into the life of his ancestor in an attempt to retrieve a sacred artifact, he begins to realize how a rivalry between two ancient secret societies is affecting his present life.
The “Assassin’s Creed” is a hit video game from the company, Ubisoft and has sold over 91 million units. Michael Fassbender will produce the film and will also star as both Desmond Miles and Ezio Auditore. Fassbender has previously starred as the young Magneto in the “X-Men” films, “The First Class” and “Days of the Future Past.”
Fassbender will star alongside Marion Cotillard, who has been confirmed to be joining the cast in February, Deadline reported. Cotillard’s role in the film is still unknown. She has previously starred in “The Dark Knight Rises” and “La Vie En Rose.” Justin Kurzel will be directing the film.
