Charlize Theron’s Agent Lorraine is back in the second trailer of one of the most anticipated spy film’s, Atomic Blonde. This time, she is seen fighting her enemies alone and using her shoe (pencil heels), nearly killing one spy.

Atomic Blonde is directed by David Leitch and written by Kurt Johnstad. It follows the story of Agent Lorraine Broughton (A cold-war era spy) who is sent alone to Berlin to deliver a priceless dossier. The film is based on Antony Johnston’s graphic novel The Coldest City (2012).

As per the official synopsis of the movie, she has to fight all her enemies in this journey to stay alive. The second trailer dropped recently and it teases that defying death is not easy for Agent Lorraine.

Charlize Theron Uses Her Shoe To Kill

The most intriguing scene in the new Atomic Blonde trailer is where Lorraine uses her shoe and beats a man in the car. As soon as she starts hitting him with her pencil heels, the driver tries to interfere. But Lorraine pulls out a gun from nowhere and starts firing shots on the car rooftop.

Finally, she succeeds in throwing the man sitting next tout of the car. She also kills and throws the driver from the moving car. And when the car loses control and turns turtle, there comes David Percival in his unique style to protect Lorraine. Percival is played by actor James McAvoy in Atomic Blonde.

He tries to talk to Lorraine by offering her the lost shoe. She initially rebukes Percival, but later finds out that he is there to help her in the mission.

The music for the trailer is from New Order and a mashup of Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus with Kanye West’s Black Skinhead. The different cues in the actual songs are used to tell the story through the trailer, reports Polygon.

Agent Lorraine’s Love Interest

The end of the trailer teases a small romantic move made by Percival toward Lorraine, but she doesn’t seem to be interested in falling in love with him.

The trailer initially reveals that Theron’s character is deeply attracted to Sofia Boutella’s Sandrine. There are steamy and racy scenes shared by the two. This drops a hint that perhaps Sandrine might be Lorraine’s love interest in the Atomic Blonde.

Sandrine is seen with a camera and appears to be a photographer by profession. Later she catches up with Lorraine in a night club and they both make love.

 Thrilling Fight Scenes

Atomic Blonde offers a series of fighting scenes in the trailer. The second trailer begins with Theron fighting three unknown men. The voice over says, “I chose this life.” She continues, “And someday he is going to get me killed. But, not today!” She then starts kicking the men around her and then shoots each one of them.

Another exciting fight scene in the new Atomic Blonde trailer is when someone barges into her room. Lorraine slams the fridge door on his face. Another moment that will send chills down the spine is to see her jumping out of the gallery from a height as she drags her enemy alongside.

 One Woman Mission

In this film, Lorraine has to cooperate with Berlin station Chief David Percival in order to achieve her mission, but there are going to be several roadblocks which she has to fight all alone.

The trailer clearly shows that Percival is accompanying Lorraine but when it comes to fighting, she does it all alone. One of the scenes from the trailer shows Theron making sure she carries her gun wherever she goes. It seems from the trailers that she is constantly on the enemy’s radar.

Atomic Blonde hits the movie theaters on July 28, 2017 and is released by Focus Features. Click here to watch the trailer.
