“Attack on Titan” Season 2 (“Shingeki no Kyojin”) has been every anime fans’ wish since the first season ended in 2013. While the long wait is finally over after Director Tetsuro Araki announced that the season season of the manga series will be released in 2016, many fans started wondering what storyline awaits fans in season 2. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

“Attack on Titan” Season 2 is finally happening and is likely to be released in 2016, as Director Tetsuro Araki revealed the reason for the delay in an interview last year. According to Director Tetsuro, the cause of the delay was because they were still waiting for more manga chapters to come out since the first season of the TV series adaptation of “Shingeki no Kyojin” covered four story arcs.

As previously reported here on Movie News Guide, Tetsuro Araki needed two more story arcs from the manga counterpart before production begins. Meanwhile, Crossmap cited several spoilers and possible storylines for “Attack on Titan” season 2.

According to the outlet, there is a possibility that fan-favorite character Levi Ackerman would die in the second season of the manga to protect Eren Yeager, Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman. While Levi’s death remains nothing but a speculation as of the moment, there are ongoing rumors that the season season will also feature a new titan.

The outlet noted that an ape-like titan that talks may also appear in “Shingeki no Kyojin” season 2. It has also been speculated that the second season will take on the Clash of Titans story arc. While 2016 is not really so long of a wait anymore, two “Attack on Titan” live-action movies will be released this year.

The first “Attack on Titan” movie was released in August and was met with negative reviews and criticisms from fans. The second installment was released on Sept. 19 in Japan.
