“Attack on Titan” Season 2 is a year (or probably months) away from its return to the small screens and fans are already eagerly awaiting for more updates to the TV adaptation of “Shingeki no Kyojin” manga series. What awaits Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Levi in Season 2?

‘Attack on Titan’ Season 2 Release Date

Late last year, director Tetsuro Araki revealed that “Attack on Titan” (“Shingeki no Kyojin”) will most likely come out in 2016. Fans have been waiting eagerly for the upcoming season since its last episode aired in 2013.

Crossmap cited that the reason for the delay is because the manga counterpart of the animated series was only two story arcs ahead. The first season of the series covered the first four arcs of the manga, namely: “The Fall of Shiganshina,” “104th Trainees Squad,” “Battle of Trost District” and “The Female Titan.”

Levi Ackerman Dies in Season 2?

There is an ongoing speculation among fans that fan-favorite character, Levi Ackerman will in “Shingeki no Kyojin” Season 2. According to the outlet, the upcoming chapter of the manga series will focus of Levi’s death, as a result of his attempt to save his fellow Survey Corps members aka the Shiganshina trio – Armin, Eren and Mikasa.

‘Attack on Titan’ Live-Action Movie Fails to Deliver Results

The second part of the movie adaptation of “Shingeki no Kyojin” titled “Attack on Titan: End of the World” failed to impress critics and fans. In a review from The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel was reportedly a “gore fest without the visual impact of its predecessor.”

The second live-action movie also failed to generate interest among fans and viewers, as the film opened with $2.7 million in Japan. This figure is almost half from its predecessor, which opened in Japan with $5.1 million.
