Austin Mahone is going to drop a collection of 19 songs to tease for the release of his debut album. One of the songs is proving quite controversial. It features his ex Becky G’s vocals and has already evoked a negative reaction from her.
Hollywood Life reports that fans who are looking forward to buying Mahone’s new album can rejoice now. The singer-songwriter has dropped 19 new songs today. The songs are part of a collection called, “This is not the album.”
The internet celebrity sent out many snippets of the songs via twitter last night. Readers should note that the songs aren’t part of his album work and are being released as a separate collection. He is still working on his debut album. The songs will be made available via iTunes.
Seventeen Magazine reports that Mahone also included a controversial song which includes vocals of his ex-sweetheart Becky G, who seemed displeased to hear that he was using their collaboration in the collection. She posted a cryptic tweet that seemed to suggest that she was in the mood to “punch” someone.
The Austin Mahone and Becky G romance was short-lived, lasting only for a few months and ending in August, but apparently the pair had enough time to come up with a love song.
The song reportedly has some very steamy lyrics that indicate that the pair had a strong bond when they were together. The song, which is titled “Rollin,” is reminiscent of happier times when Mahone was friends with Becky G.
This is no longer the case now; Apparently quick on the heels of Mahone’s tweet for the song came Becky G’s angry tweet that said,”I’ve never wanted to punch someone in the face this bad.” This disclosure obviously put paid to the idea that the two would see each other again or even collaborate for another song.
