James Cameron revealed that he’s making Avatar business only and is currently working on “Avatar 2, 3 & 4.”
James Cameron has yet to make the world blown away again with his critically acclaimed films! He had his breakthrough career with his “Terminator” in 1984 followed by “Titanic” in 1997 and in 2009 he’s been crowned again when he took us to Pandora. Now, he revealed that he’s actually not interested on anything but to make “Avatar 2, 3 & 4” –he wants the world to be amazed again with his creation.
According to The Financial Express, in Cameron’s recent interview, he revealed that he is currently developing three more “Avatar” movies “in a full swing” quietly.
The Canadian filmmaker is burying himself in writing the scripts right now and he revealed that everything is pretty much set.
“I’m in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now. Just refining,” he said
Cameron went on to say that the design process from the settings to the character and creatures are very mature at this time. “That’s in parallel with the design process. The design process is very mature at this point. We’ve been designing for about a year and a half. All the characters, settings and creatures are all pretty much [set]”, the Hollywood legend said.
In his interview with New York Times, Cameron admitted that in 16 years he divided his time for deep ocean exploration and filmmaking. “I’ve made two movies” and “I’ve done eight expeditions,” he added. But this time, around, he revealed that he’s not into making anything aside from Avatar business, “period.”
“That’s it. I’m making Avatar 2, Avatar 3, maybe Avatar 4, and I’m not going to produce other people’s movies for them,” Cameron said.
He continued that he’s not interested in any other project nor any script because he thinks “within the Avatar landscape” he can say everything he needs to say and need to be said.
On the other hand, it was revealed that “Avatar 2,3 & 4” will be filmed concurrently. “Avatar 2” will hit the cinemas in December 2017, followed by “Avatar 3” in 2018 and “Avatar 4” in 2019.
