The Marvel Comic’s superhero team Avengers is breaking all records with its new addition in the franchise. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which is eleventh in the franchise is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures has topped the charts of China’s box office setting records.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” was released in the U. S. On May 1, 2015 and it’s been two weeks of it in China and it is ranking as fourth highest-grossing film release in Chinese history. It has attracted crowd worth $210 million since its opening.
People’s Republic is considered as second largest market for films and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has earned shy of $45.8 million which brings its worldwide earning to $1.3 billion. Experts says that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has done this solely in its own performance in the market.
The superhero adventure movie also becomes the 20th movie in the box office history to reach the mark of $400 million in just 24 days.The film has earned $403m in 24 days in U.S. It is also the fourth fastest film to ever cross such a threshold. The first three toppers of the list are “The Avengers” which crossed the milestone in just 14 days, “The Dark Knight” took 18 days and “Avatar” made it in 23 days.
The second on the list of China’s prestigious box-office numbers is “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The George Miller directed movie was released on 14 May, 2015 has picked up really well from its second weekend. The $150 million spending on the movie has been turned to earning of $219 million from almost 70 markets worldwide.
The next on the list are George Clooney’s “Tommorowland” which has been nothing but a pricey science-fiction affair, worldwide box-office earning remains at $74.7 million and next is comedy parade “Pitch Perfect 2” which has been soberly picking up and has made global earning of $187.4 million.
