Aaron Taylor-Johnson gives the gist as one of the new additions to the “Avengers” cast in the upcoming Marvel pic hit, “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is one of the most anticipated films for this year, and people just couldn’t stop talking and raving about the new character additions into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s James Spader’s Ultron and Paul Bettany’s the Vision. But who could overlook superfluous addition of the Twins, Wanda/The Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Pietro/Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor Johnson)? Just then, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson reveals what little but interesting details in his involvement of the Marvel film as Pietro/Quicksilver in the “Avengers” feature of Empire Magazine.
Comic Book Movie published a portion of the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” feature of the Empire Magazine and among the many stories has Taylor-John explaining his involvement of the Marvel film franchise. The actor describes his character as a hot head and how he wants things to keep up with how fast he is.
“He’s very agitated because everything runs too slowly for him. He’s quick at everything. He’s quick to lose his temper,” the actor began as he explained how Quicksilver is. “It’s more about Pietro and Wanda together, a yin/yang where he’s very physical and very protective of her and she’s very internal and always mothering him. Pietro doesn’t [frick]ing trust anybody. The only one he cares for and at the end of the day will jump in front of a bullet for is his sister, Wanda.”
The actor then agreed on the emphasis of Quicksilver being a guy oozing with high intensity to which he added, “We all wanted to pull it back to the comic book. That’s why we did East European accents.”
Later on proceeding to the development of his abilities, the actor explained the stunts he’s got to do as well as the mention of some inside terms that they’ve developed over the course of the production phase.
The interview then proceeded with him having to answer about the predetermined pressure that was to come of the role, given that a character with the same name and abilities was already featured in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” However, the actor nonchalantly responded that the pressure did not really get to him. He understood the differences of the Cinematic Universes and even complimented Evan Peter’s version to be fantastic.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” also features Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany and James Spader, amongst all others. The movie opens on May 1, 2015.
