Last February, Playboy teased that rapper and music artist Azealia Banks will be featured in the magazine’s April issue, and now the spread has been released online. As expected, it captured all of the mischievousness of the artist, who posed on the cover wearing an animal-printed teddy. Banks also didn’t hold back during the interview. Read on.

In the feature “Azealia Banks: Wild and Uncensored for Playboy,” the controversial celebrity did not mince words when talking, a characteristic she’s always been known for. She revealed that she has a very close relationship with her mom and “liking boys” was something she was honest with her about early on. Besides, sex was something her mother didn’t hide from her growing up and there were plenty of sex books in the house.

At 17, Banks fell in love with a 43-year old man and the relationship went on for four years. She admitted she didn’t know how to be a woman at that time.

“I didn’t know how to shave my bush and shit like that. I had a hairy pussy. I didn’t know how to wear perfume. I had neon pink barrettes in my hair,” Banks related in the interview while also revealing it was a violent relationship. It did, however, sway her into loving older men better than younger guys because the latter, according to her, don’t take care of themselves.

On a more serious subject, Banks believes that black people should get more compensation, recognition and credit from America. She professed she hates the country and the oppression against people of color. It’s the same sentiment she has passionately discussed in a radio interview in December.

Of the people she most admires, Banks chooses music producer Jay-Z, Beyonce’s better half. She described him in the interview as a “nonthreatening black man” that even white soccer moms like him. She also likes that Jay-z doesn’t play the race card and the world accepts him for who he is. Some black guys, she noted, try too much to get white people to like them, alluding to Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.
