DC Extended Universe’s Gotham City Sirens might have already found its Catwoman. Eiza Gonzalez, star of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Edgar Wright highly-praised new movie, Baby Driver has been teasing what looks like is her new gig on social media.

Gotham’s Antiheroes Unite

After her breakout appearance as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie has been involved in the development of Gotham City Sirens, a movie based on a comic book series of the same title. The movie already signed David Ayer as the director and according to rumors, it is scheduled to be released in 2018.

However, months after the project was made public, its two lead characters Catwoman and Poison Ivy are yet to be announced. While plenty of actors have already expressed interest in the roles, it looks like someone has already bagged the coveted gig.

In a recent post on Instagram, Gonzalez showed off her black catsuit and heels, reported Screen Rant. The caption read, “The uniform lately.”

While she did not confirm that she is joining the DCEU, some suspect that she might have been already cast as Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman in Gotham City Sirens. Here are the photos c/o Reddit.

Some Reddit users have pointed out that the actor also posted a photo of boxes of comics with the caption “geek.” While she might just be a big comic book fan who will cosplay Catwoman in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, some fans also confirmed that she has visited Warner Bros. a lot in the past. Moreover, she and DC Films boss Geoff Johns are following each other on social media.

This speculation does not offer much to confirm Gonzalez’ involvement in the project. A few months back, Haley Bennett of The Girl on the Train and The Magnificent Seven also posted similar teases on Instagram.

Gonzalez already has what it takes to be DCEU’s Catwoman. For one, she already looks really good in a black cat suit. Moreover, her performances in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Baby Driver are a testament to her incredible acting chops.

She might be relatively still unknown in the movie industry considering that she is just starting out. However, it looks like Warner Bros. and DC are not too concerned about casting A-list actors in lead roles. Gal Gadot, for example, has only appeared in small movie roles prior to being cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Even Joss Whedon is not interested in hiring a popular actor to lead the solo Batgirl movie.

Whoever was cast as Selina Kyle, fans will probably get to hear about in the coming months. Several reports have already claimed that the movie will be released in 2018 which means that filming will probably begin later this year. If true, DC might announce the stars of Gotham City Sirens at San Diego Comic Con.

Justice League Movie Details

But, before Harley Quinn joins forces with Catwoman and Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens, Bruce Wayne a.k.a. The Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will form the Justice League. Inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless sacrifice to save mankind, Batman forms a superhero group that consists of Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to battle an even greater threat.

The movie will also star Amy Adams, Connie Nielsen, Diane Lane, Billy Crudup, Amber Heard, Kiersey Clemons, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Robin Wright. Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will land on the big screen on Nov. 17.
