It looks like the real loser on the show was Nick Viall. This is the second time he has been dumped at the last moment by the bachelorette. Yep folks, Shawn Booth won the hand of Kaitlyn Bristowe in the season finale of ‘The Bachelorette’ that was aired last night.
“I am the world’s biggest joke,” Nick Viall told viewers as he left the show. He has competed on the show for two seasons straight and was dumped in the last episode in both the seasons. Viall was a runner up even in the last season when the season 10’s Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman chose Josh Murray over him. The jilted software sales executive was off for a great start on Monday’s show, and had even won over the hearts of Kaitlyn’s parents when he met them. He even gave Bristowe a picture of their first one on one date.
But by the end of it all, Bristowe declared, “At the end of the day, no love that I had was as strong as my love for Shawn,” and let him go. Nick looked visibly upset and left the limo in a huff after his talk with Bristowe. He even threw away the ring that he had picked out for Bristowe on their trip to Ireland.
Bristowe chose the Nashville personal trainer Shawn Booth over Viall, because she was falling in love with him. Bristowe’s mom also preferred Booth over Nick. In the end, Booth impressed Kaitlyn with a final proposal that simply blew her away. He had written a poem for Bristowe that he had placed in his bedroom along with a picture of him and Bristowe on a date. His proposal was so sweet that it seemed unfair that Nick didn’t stand a chance at competing with him.
His final speech was incredibly moving too. The cincher was the part where he said, “Every time I look into those blue eyes, I can’t hear myself think. And when I kiss those lips, I get this pit in my stomach every single time. And I don’t ever want that to end.”
Good pick, Kaitlyn! We were blown away too.
