In celebration of the ‘Back to the Future Day’ October 21, 2015, a real Pepsi Perfect based on the exact bottle and packaging which was featured in the second sequel of the franchise will be launched on the same day Marty and Doc Brown traveled forward in time.
Using the year to set the price is a very good promotional gimmick although it might be a bit costly for 16.9 ounces of Pepsi Made with Real Sugar, but fans are all eager to have their hands on one of them. Plus, collectors are banking on the collectible value of the thing which will likely be much higher than the launching price.
Pepsi is urging fans and interested party to follow its social media channels to find out where they can get a Pepsi Perfect of their own. The company will only release 6,500 pieces and each bottle will cost $20.15 each according to USA Today. The online news site also revealed that 1.500 of these collectibles will be given away to Marty McFly cosplayers at the New York Comic Con this week.
