The second trailer for the action romantic thriller The Bad Batch has just come out. The Ana Lily Amirpour’s directorial looks extremely intriguing and full of action. The first trailer of the film was successful in creating buzz for the upcoming movie. The final trailer was released ahead of its release and is trending high on social media these days.

The Bad Batch Storyline

The Bad Batch is based on the story of a duo who falls in love. But this dystopian love story is based in a Texas wasteland which is surrounded by a set of cannibal community.  This place has no set of laws and the lead character of the stories has to drift through this piece of cruel, deserted wasteland.

The character of Arlen, played by Suki Waterhouse, is a handicap who will ultimately figure out what is good and bad in this world. The Bad Batch is basically the set of people who are declared unfit in society and are left off in this wasteland to be on their own. Being good or bad depends on the set of people with whom she is standing with.

The recent trailer begins with the tagline: “All the things you’ve done have put you right here… with me.”

Indeed, it subtly defines the loneliness and isolation of this place from the other worlds. But Arlen isn’t helpless as she fights her way to reality after being captured by a group of cannibals. In addition to this, the visuals, music and hallucinatory sequences are appealing. The trailer has received generally positive reviews on various social media sites and it looks like the film will open with god numbers on box-office. On the contrary, the first trailer was received with mostly negative reviews. The recent trailer gives a perfect glimpse and brief of what the film will be like.

Cast Members & Creative Team

The cast members include Jason Momoa (as Miami Man), Jim Carrey (as Hermit), Giovanni Ribisi (as Bobby), Keanu Reeves (as the Dream), and Yolonda Ross (as Maria), along with Suki Waterhouse (as Arlen).

The film is directed by Ana Lily Amirpour who made her debut with the critically acclaimed film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. The film was widely praised for its theme and story treatment.

Fans are anxiously waiting for the film to come out. It looks very different from other movies based in cannibals in the past. She has both written and directed this film. Amirpour has made a mark for herself with only two films in her kitty. She is one of the directors who has tackled dark subjects with a female character at the center of her story.

Who Is Suki Waterhouse?

Waterhouse is an English actress who is best known for her role in historical horror film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The film was loosely based on the 1813 novel written by Jane Austen.

She began her career with modeling after she was discovered at a nightclub in London. Her other upcoming movies include Billionaire Boys Club, The White Princess, and Jonathan. Perhaps, with the offbeat movies, she will be able to make a different mark for herself in Hollywood.
