“Psycho” film adapted “Bates Motel” has set roofs on fire with extraordinary acting, impeccable script writing and attractive direction. The crazy Bates family is going to get crazier with Norma Bates evolving character.
“Bates Motel” season 4 premiere date is expected to be in early Mar. 2016. Fans are excited and speculating on the new developments in the story. In his conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Freddie Highmore, who plays the dangerous Psycho-turning character, Norman, reveals more on the development.
“Bates Motel” season 4 is all set to make room for a much better look at Norma-Norman Bates relationship. Here, is where Norma has to put Norman in a mental facility but how will she manage to stay from her beloved son?
Norma Bates is known to keep Norman close to her. She has practically lived in denial that there is something wrong but now when she has finally realised, what’s next? When she visited the mental facility, she asked about the visiting hours and days but given Norman’s condition so much leisure won’t be possible!
Revealing on Norman Bates’ more psychotically developed Norma, Freddie Highmore said, “Norman has actually found his real moment of happiness when he is Norma.” Also, Highmore added that for upcoming “Bates Motel” season 4 it is best to watch out for what is real and what is happening only in the head.
Highmore explained saying, “ I think there is that suggestion, as you say, that there’s more to what you actually see taking place. I guess you just have to decide how mad you think he is.”
In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Kerry Ehrin explained the Norman- Norma relationship and hinted towards Norma’s death!
Ehrin said, “He [Norman Bates] has this whole warped, psychosexual, frustrated, messed-up psychology with his mother which also feeds into it… I feel like that [Norma’s death] could happen, honestly, at any point. It could happen in any episode from now until the end of the series!”
