The Batman is currently being written from scratch. With DCEU exploring other stories from the Batman-verse, it would give the studio an opportunity to properly expand the world of Batman. Since Nightwing and Batgirl are the ones getting their own movies, it would be good if they show up in the solo movie.

Here are members of the Batman universe who should also make an appearance in the movie.

Nightwing

Nightwing is undoubtedly the most popular member of the Bat-family. As the first Robin, Dick Grayson grew up as Batman’s son. He ventured out on his own and took on the identity of Nightwing. He also moved to Bludhaven, a city close to Gotham.

With his solo movie also being written, the new trailer for Justice League dropped a little hint about his presence. The hint appears when Commissioner Gordon talks to Batman about working well with others again.

Setting up his movie will definitely need some more hints here and there in the movies and The Batman would be the perfect platform that could lead to Nightwing.

At a moment of desperation, Batman might call on his former associate and as a favor, Dick might just show up gathering some intelligence on the main villain. Simultaneously, there also could be a scene where the two interact with each other after a long time.

Batgirl

Batgirl is also getting her own movie and the best way to introduce her in DCEU would be to drop hints about her in a movie before. Since she has long been an associate of Batman and is secretly the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, it would be better if she shows up in The Batman.

This way, fans will be introduced to the character and will be able to look forward to her origin story being told right.

Jason Todd/Red Hood

Jason is another character that is really close to Batman’s story arc. He was the second Robin, who was adopted by Batman and later on murdered by the Joker. He was, however, resurrected and was angry at Batman for not doing anything to Joker.

He took on the Joker’s former identity and became a supervillain. After starting to kill bad guys, he came face to face with Batman and revealed who he really is.

Over the years, despite using the name Red Hood, Jason has been a part of the Bat-family and has regularly collaborated with them on missions. When Batman disappeared, he was one of the Robins who were called to come in and save Batman.

Damian Wayne

Since so many characters of the family are getting introduced, Batman’s blood son Damian Wayne should also get a chance. With an older Batman in the DCEU, there are chances he has already had his encounter with Ra’s Al Ghul and his daughter Talia Al Ghul.

Damian is the son of Batman and Talia was kept in Batman’s care by the former. Having lived with his father, he started to see his father’s world and soon joined his side. If not an appearance, then there certainly can be a reference about him in the movie, which could at least hint at the fact that Batman has a son existing in the same universe.

Comicbook.com reported that Batman’s new animated film titled Batman and Harley Quinn recently had a sneak peek released. In the preview clip, there were some footage and interview with the cast. Kevin Conroy and Melissa Rauch are voicing the two characters. As far as The Batman is concerned, no new update is available about it yet.

The Batman does not have an official release date yet.
