Batman and Superman Standalone Movies Will Be Released in Addition to the Announced 10 DC Films

Warner Bros. (WB) has recently unveiled their 10 DC tentpoles which will headline all throughout 2020. However, apart from those 10 pics announced, WB will be releasing two more DC titled pics, specifically a standalone pic for both Batman and Superman. Read on for more details on this story.

WB has been aggressive in taking their DC titles in the movie frontier, unveiling 10 of their DC titled pics which will headline throughout 2020, but that’s not all. In addition to these 10 pics, WB is also into the development of two more DC titles, specifically a Batman and a Superman movie. Here’s a tweet from Time Warner:

To be clear, this does not mean that these two movies will headline right after the release of the 10 announced DC titles, rather they will be released regardless of the schedule that WB has slated for their DC titles, meaning, you won’t have to wait for 2021 to see them.

Moreover, reports that both Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck who will play Superman and Batman in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” are set to reprise their roles for the “Justice League” pic. However, it is not reported if they will also do so for the standalone pics.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed the pic “Man of Steel.”

It stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is on course for a theatrical release on March 25, 2016. For more details on celebrities, events, upcoming movies and TV shows, stay tuned here on Movie News Guide (MNG).
