You really didn’t think Zack Snyder revealed the whole movie with the second trailer of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” did you? Everyone has been sounding so sure that they now know the story and don’t need to see the movie, since everything is pretty obvious. The DC trinity will be taking down Doomsday, saving the day and that will be it. If you think that was going to happen, think again.
According to Cinema Blend, Doomsday isn’t the only threat that the Dark Knight, Man of Steel and Wonder Woman will be facing as there’s something else way bigger in store for the three of them to take care of. This revelation comes from production designer Patrick Tatopoulos’s comment about Doomsday not being the only villain.
The designer recently gave an interview to a French magazine Premiere in which he mentioned that Doomsday is not the final act and there’s in fact more to come after the monster. So when people thought that the entire story was revealed in the trailer right from Batman hating Superman, the two dueling over an issue to Lex Luthor unleashing Doomsday on the three of them, they were hugely mistaken.
Think about it this way. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is like a golden project for DCEU and with so much gone into just getting the casting right and getting the right people on board for the movie, do you really think Zack Snyder will reveal everything with just one trailer?
This movie is a potential Billion-dollar venture, which could break some serious records at the box office and since its primary role is to establish the DC Extended Universe, Warner Bros. and Zack are going to protect this project with their life.
Cosmic book news added that for all those who have been complaining that the trailer almost showed the entire story of the movie will be in for a big surprise when they see the movie.
If we were to stir up things here, our guess is that Lex must be hiding an army of Cyborg Superman laced with Kryptonite as backup just in case Doomsday fails to kill the Man of Steel. Since DC’s trinity was seen confronting the monster, Lex surely would consider using his backup too, which would potentially put an army of Super robots against DC’s three heavyweights.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will release on March 25th and shall bring with it this glorious surprise.
